Illinois Senate mourns the death of Dorothy A. Clementz of Montgomery, formerly of Aurora, who passed away on July 21, 2010.

Dorothy was born October 15, 1917, graduated from Madonna High School in 1936, and received the Madonna Alumna of the Year Award in 1960.

She served as president of the St. Ann Sodality of St. Nicholas Church, president of the Marmion Mothers Club, secretary of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, and held memberships in multiple Catholic organizations.

Dorothy sang in church choirs and the Aurora Chorale for over 50 years and performed at area weddings with her sister Dolores for 30 years.

She is survived by 7 children, 33 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
