Donald W. Miller of North Aurora passed away on September 5, 2010, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and friends.

Miller was born December 1, 1936, in Kellogg, Minnesota, served three years in the United States Army stationed in Japan, and was married to Patricia M. (Knur) Miller on May 14, 1963.

Miller worked for 42 years with the Burlington Northern Railroad and 10 years with the Kane County Cougars, and was active in Blessed Sacrament Church, the Knights of Columbus, the "Right to Life" Ministry, and the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry.

Miller is survived by his wife of 47 years, three sons, ten grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and multiple siblings and their families.

The Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Miller family as a symbol of sincere sympathy.
