George J. Arnold passed away on October 3, 2010; he was born August 14, 1923, in Bluffs, Illinois.

Served in the United States Air Force during World War II and worked as a pipefitter for Olin Corporation.

Active in his community as a Boy Scout leader, member of Wood River Masonic Lodge, and participant in Little League and square dancing organizations.

Survived by four children and their spouses, six grandchildren and their spouses, nine great-grandchildren, and special friend Maxine Curtis.

Illinois Senate expresses sympathy for his passing and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to his family.
