Marion O'Connor of Naples and Hollywood, Florida, formerly of Elgin and Huntley, passed away on October 1, 2010, at age 93.

She operated the O'Connor Funeral Home in Elgin from 1940 to 1984 with her husband and in-laws, and worked for the Elgin Watch Company, Elgiloy Corporation, Joseph Spiess Department Store, and Collingbourne Mills.

She was a founding member of the St. Joseph Junior Hospital League, Nouveau Speculators, and the Elgin Golferettes, known for her selflessness, wit, and expertise in golf, tennis, and card games.

She is survived by three sons, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and her sister JoJean Middlesworth.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to her family and friends and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family.
