Gerald M. Sheridan Jr. of Wheaton passed away on September 18, 2010

Graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst and earned a bachelor's degree from DePaul University and law degree from DePaul College of Law, where he served as law review editor

Served four years in the United States Navy and practiced law in Aurora, Chicago, and Wheaton, concentrating on airport litigation

Appointed to Community Unit District #200 Board of Education in 1980 and elected to a two-year term in November 1981; served as president of United Way of Wheaton and Carol Stream and was active in the Greater Wheaton Chamber of Commerce

Survived by his wife Lois, son Mark, daughters Amy Sheridan-Dufresne, Vicki Sheridan-Davison and Polly Sheridan-Kenny, brother Tom, sisters Patricia Pearson and Janet Erwin, and seventeen grandchildren
