Curtis Christian of Waukegan died on September 10, 2010; he was born April 26, 1927 to Roy Christian and Adeline Aikens.

Served honorably in the United States Army with combat in Korea; worked for American Motors in Kenosha and was married to his wife Ann with two children.

Served 31 years with the Waukegan Police Department, advancing from Youth Officer to Captain; was an accomplished saxophonist and avid fisherman.

Held memberships in the Little Fort Elks Lodge, American Legion, Fraternal Order of Police, and prior membership in the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement (NOBLE).

Illinois Senate expresses mourning for Curtis Christian's passing and directs presentation of this resolution to his family as a symbol of sympathy.
