Clinton F. Kimbro of Hillsboro passed away on October 24, 2010, at age 86, having been born September 25, 1924 in Taylor Springs.

Served 35 years in local petroleum delivery and 16 years as Montgomery County Clerk before retiring in late 1998; graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1941.

World War II Army Air Corps veteran (1943-1945) who served as a B-17 gunner in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, and Rhineland, earning 4 Bronze Stars, a Good Conduct Air Medal, 3 Bronze Clusters, and 1 Oak Leaf Cluster.

Active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge #51, V.F.W. Post #1306, and Hillsboro Moose Lodge #1377; survived by daughter Judith K. Wineburner, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and sister Mary Von.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to the family and directs a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to them.
