Judy Gay Stevenson of Oak Brook, formerly of Naperville, passed away on June 28, 2010, at age 72.

She was Chairman of the Board of Magnetrol International Incorporated, which she joined in 1964 and purchased in 1978, leading it to become a global provider of process instrumentation.

Stevenson established multiple scholarship funds at North Central College and College of DuPage, supported numerous community organizations including Edward Hospital and the Naperville Riverwalk, and served on the Board of Trustees at North Central College.

She received the YWCA Businesswoman of the Year award for DuPage County in 1985, the YWCA Outstanding Woman Leader of DuPage County in 1997, and was recognized as one of The Top 500 Women-Owned Businesses in the country in 1998.

The Illinois Senate expresses its condolences to her surviving family, including daughter Laurie Jane Swallow, son Jeffrey Swallow, three grandchildren, and siblings.
