Honors United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Jordan B. Emrick of Hoyleton, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on November 5, 2010

SSgt. Emrick was born December 19, 1983, in Centralia, graduated from Nashville High School in 2002, and served with the 1st Explosives Ordinance Disposal Company based at Camp Pendleton, California

SSgt. Emrick enlisted shortly after September 11th attacks and completed one Persian Gulf deployment and two Iraq deployments before his service in Afghanistan

SSgt. Emrick is survived by his parents Terry and Doris, brother Brandon, sisters Christi and Brittany, grandmother Edith Seeger, and numerous extended family members

Illinois Senate expresses mourning and sympathy for SSgt. Emrick's family and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to his family
