Susan August of Waukegan passed away on August 13, 2010 at age 72.

Graduated from St. Therese Hospital School of Nursing in Waukegan in 1958 and worked as a Registered Nurse, retiring from the Veteran's Administration Hospital of North Chicago.

Volunteered at Kids Corner at the Lake County Court House and with S.P.R.E.D., and was active with the Boy Scouts and Catholic organizations.

Survived by three children (Peter, Katherine, and Stephen), seven grandchildren, and eight siblings; preceded in death by her husband Thomas August in 2002.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to her family and directs presentation of a commemorative copy of this resolution to her family.
