Robert William Manner passed away on August 26, 2010; he was born July 3, 1948, in Joliet and was a lifelong resident of the city.

Manner graduated from Joliet West High School in 1966 and worked as a hair stylist in Joliet for 40 years, including as former owner of Mr. Robert's and Manner Magic.

Manner was a member of the Elk's Club and enjoyed biking, gardening, and meeting people.

Manner is survived by his wife of 35 years Julie Woodruff Kitchell Manner, four children, one brother, and numerous grandchildren and extended family members.

The Illinois Senate mourns the passing of Robert Manner and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of sympathy.
