Linda L. Glover of Island Lake passed away on November 22, 2010; she was born February 23, 1948, in Chicago to Edward and Helen (Gawlowski) Gallas.

She was recognized as the first woman postal carrier in McHenry County while working through college and earned a bachelor's degree from Elmhurst College and master's degree from Rosary College.

She taught English at Army Trail High School in Addison and served as a librarian at Harper College for over 25 years before retiring in 2007.

She is survived by her daughter Kristin Glover, granddaughter Ella Lee Glover-Taylor, sisters Joan Passanante, Phyllis Pugh, and Judy Gallas, and many nieces and nephews.

The Illinois Senate expresses its condolences to the family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to them.
