Ronald E. "Ron" Herman of Peoria died on November 28, 2010, at age 71.

Founded RonWay Realty and RonWay Builders as a general contractor, later worked in real estate investments and as a stockbroker with Morgan Stanley before retiring in 2004.

Financed and spearheaded multiple Peoria area developments including Tomar Knolls, Longwood subdivision, Old Orchard, Junction Oaks, and Hollow Creek apartment complexes.

Active in community through membership in The Gideons International, Peoria Home Builders Association, and National Realtors Association; served as adult Sunday school teacher at Mount Olive Missionary Church.

Survived by wife Mary Ann Herman, six children, three grandsons, and eight siblings; preceded in death by his parents.
