IL HB1087

Amends the Home Repair and Remodeling Act to allow the "Home Repair: Know Your Consumer Rights" pamphlet to be printed on the back of the home repair contract instead of requiring it as a separate document.

Requires the pamphlet to be printed in at least 12 point type and in legible ink regardless of whether it is separate or printed on the contract.

Maintains existing requirements that contractors provide the pamphlet to customers for contracts over $1,000 with a signed acknowledgment form, and for contracts of $1,000 or under without requiring written acknowledgment.

Includes consumer protection information covering fraud warning signs, contract requirements, basic contract terms, and contact information for reporting fraud to state authorities.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
