IL HB1167

Creates a new provision requiring that ballots, ballot cards, or ballot sheets be counted as valid even if they lack a judge of elections' initials, provided the ballot is otherwise valid.

Amends Section 17-9 of the Election Code to clarify that the failure of a judge to initial a ballot does not alone preclude the ballot from being voted and counted.

Applies to all ballot types including paper ballots, perforated ballot cards, and ballot sheets used in elections.
