Every second division commercial vehicle used by construction contractors or subcontractors operating in Illinois must display the company name on the side of the vehicle or trailer in letters at least 2 inches tall and one-half inch wide.

Exemption applies to motor vehicles displaying the insignia required under Section 18c-4701 of the Illinois Commercial Transportation Law.

Violation is a petty offense subject to a fine of not less than $500.

Code enforcement officials employed by local government units may enforce this section while vehicles are on worksites within their jurisdiction.

Violations must be dismissed if corrected prior to or on the date of a scheduled hearing to adjudicate the alleged violation.
