IL HB1603

Removes restrictions limiting crossbow use for deer hunting to only handicapped persons and those age 62 or older, allowing any person to use a crossbow to take deer.

Amends Sections 2.25, 2.26, and 2.33 of the Wildlife Code to eliminate age and disability requirements for crossbow deer hunting.

Permits the Director to continue issuing crossbow permits to handicapped persons as defined by administrative rule, requiring a physician's statement confirming permanent physical impairment.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
