IL HB1696

Repeals the State Pheasant Fund and redirects its revenue stream, increasing the Illinois Habitat Fund allocation from 64% to 79% of State Habitat Stamp sales revenue.

Adjusts the State Furbearer Fund allocation from 6% to 21% of State Habitat Stamp sales revenue to compensate for the pheasant fund elimination.

Removes references to the State Pheasant Fund from the Wildlife Code Section 1.28 regarding fee and fine deposits into special funds.

Repeals Section 1.31 of the Wildlife Code and Section 5.305 of the State Finance Act that previously governed the State Pheasant Fund.

Effective date is January 1, 2012.
