IL HB1885

Amends the Election Code Section 10-9 to expand the jurisdiction of county officers electoral boards to hear objection petitions for candidates seeking offices in school or community college districts.

Removes the separate "education officers electoral board" that previously handled objections for school and community college district candidates.

Transfers responsibility for hearing objections to school and community college district candidate nominations from a dedicated education board to the existing county officers electoral board.

Eliminates provisions requiring the presiding officer, secretary, and longest-serving board member of school or community college district boards to constitute the education officers electoral board.
