IL HB2047

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to clarify date references related to parole and mandatory supervised release conditions by specifying actual effective dates of prior Public Acts instead of vague references.

Moves the GED/high school diploma reduction provision from Section 3-3-7(f) to new Section 3-3-8(b-1), allowing the Prisoner Review Board to reduce parole or mandatory supervised release by 90 days upon completion of a high school diploma or GED.

Requires that the subject must be in compliance with all terms and conditions of parole or mandatory supervised release to qualify for the 90-day reduction upon earning a diploma or passing the GED.

Limits the 90-day reduction to subjects who have not previously earned a high school diploma or passed the high school level Test of General Educational Development.
