IL HB2060

Prohibits selling or offering to sell aerosol spray paint cans to any person under 18 years of age.

Requires sellers to demand and verify adequate written evidence of age and identity issued by federal, state, county, or municipal government before completing a sale.

Acceptable forms of identification include motor vehicle operator's licenses, state identification cards, federal Selective Service registration certificates, and Armed Forces identification cards.

Violation of the sale prohibition is a Class A misdemeanor offense.

Knowingly using spray paint to damage, deface, deform, or destroy another person's property without consent is a Class A misdemeanor offense.
