• Expands the definition of "candidate" to include candidates for federal and local offices, in addition to State offices, for purposes of this prohibition.

• Applies the restriction notwithstanding any collective bargaining agreement, covering buttons, lapel pins, bumper stickers, or other items visible to prospective voters.

• The prohibition applies specifically during voter registration activities conducted as a deputy registrar or when assisting persons in completing mail-in voter registration applications.
