• Extends tort immunity protections to service agencies under contract with public entities in addition to local public entities and public employees for medical, hospital, and public health activities.

• Applies immunity to service agencies for policy decisions related to public health, medical examinations, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and mental health determinations.

• Maintains exceptions to immunity for negligent or wrongful acts in prescribing treatment and administering medical care.

• Maintains exceptions to immunity for false arrest or false imprisonment.
