HB2952 - Cellular Telephone Customer Privacy Act

• Prohibits any person from selling, disclosing, or offering to sell or disclose customer proprietary network information related to wireless telephone service accounts of Illinois residents.

• Allows disclosures authorized by law, regulation, agency order, or the account holder's written consent, and disclosures required by subpoena, warrant, or other lawful legal process.

• Classifies knowing violations of this Act as unlawful practices under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

• Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act to add the Cellular Telephone Customer Privacy Act to the list of statutes whose violations constitute unlawful practices.
