IL HB3029

Amends the Unemployment Insurance Act to add "or misdemeanor" to the existing felony provision regarding discharge for misconduct connected with work.

Prevents benefit rights from accruing for wages earned prior to discharge for committing a felony or misdemeanor in connection with work, requiring employer notification, individual admission or conviction, and court order of supervision.

Adds new provision prohibiting payment of benefits to individuals found guilty of or granted supervision for a felony or misdemeanor committed against a former employer when receiving benefits based on employment with that former employer.

Takes effect January 1, 2012.
