Amends Section 24-2 of the Criminal Code of 1961 to add a new exemption (subsection b(6)) allowing persons with a valid permit or license to carry a handgun issued by any state to be exempt from Illinois unlawful use of weapons statutes related to carrying a concealed firearm.

The exemption applies to subsections 24-1(a)(4) and 24-1(a)(10) and Section 24-1.6, which concern aggravated unlawful use of weapons and unlawful use of weapons related to concealed carry.

Permits out-of-state handgun license holders to carry concealed firearms in Illinois without violating state weapons laws, provided they have valid permits from their home states.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
