IL HB3225

Amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois to prohibit state departments and agencies from implementing any part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act passed on March 23, 2010 until all state constitutional challenges to the Act's key provisions are fully resolved.

Defines "federal health care reform" to include mandates requiring individuals to purchase health insurance or small employers to provide coverage.

Includes in the definition mandates imposing penalties on small employers who do not provide health insurance coverage for employees.

Covers Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program eligibility expansions that pass costs to the state, new insurance coverage mandates, and creation of government-run public insurance programs.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
