• Transfers regulatory authority over funeral and burial funds from the Illinois Comptroller to the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (DFPR).

• Maintains all existing requirements and protections for pre-need contracts, trust funds, licensing, and consumer safeguards without substantive changes to the regulatory framework.

• Becomes effective immediately upon enactment.
