Farm trucks eligible for yearly registration may alternatively be registered for 4-month periods at one-third the annual fee, with three 4-month registration periods per year (July-October, November-February, March-June).

Farm trailers eligible for yearly registration may alternatively be registered for 4-month periods at one-third the annual fee, with the same three 4-month registration periods available per year.

Secretary of State must issue distinctive decals for each 4-month registration period, which vehicle owners must affix to their registration plates in the manner prescribed by the Secretary.

Farm trucks and farm trailers registered under 4-month periods may not be registered for more than two 4-month periods in a single registration year.

Changes to registration provisions for farm trucks under Section 3-815 and farm trailers under Section 3-819 become effective January 1, 2012.
