IL HB4510

Creates the Asian-American Employment Plan Advisory Council consisting of 11 Asian-American subject matter experts appointed by the Governor to examine employment barriers and opportunities for Asian-Americans in state government

Requires the council to meet quarterly and provide consultation to state agencies and the Department of Central Management Services regarding Asian-American employment and promotion strategies

Amends the State Employment Records Act to require state agencies to report annually on implementation of both the State Hispanic Employment Plan and the new State Asian-American Employment Plan

Establishes that each state agency must implement strategies to increase employment of Asian-Americans at supervisory, technical, professional, and managerial levels and report progress to the Department and Department of Human Rights

Takes effect upon becoming law
