IL HB4566

Amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act to require the Department to conduct a developmental and social-emotional screening within 45 days after gaining temporary custody of a child.

Requires the Department to offer developmental screening within 60 days of opening a case for children under age 3 receiving intact family services.

Directs intact caseworkers to refer children ages 3 through 5 in intact cases for developmental screening.

Authorizes the Department to promulgate rules necessary to implement these screening requirements.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
