IL HB4590

Amends the master record file requirements for the Department of Corrections and Department of Juvenile Justice to include criminal history, gang affiliations and ranks, associations and family relationships, and filed grievances with responses.

Specifies that disciplinary infractions reports must now include tickets and Administrative Review Board action.

Allows each Department to include other information determined relevant to secure confinement and rehabilitation of committed persons in master files.

Maintains confidentiality of master files with access limited to authorized department personnel and other correctional, welfare, or law enforcement agencies under departmental rules.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
