• Amends Section 9-118 of the Code of Civil Procedure regarding emergency eviction proceedings from housing authority property.

• Allows expedited evictions when verified complaints allege direct evidence of unlawful possession, use, or trafficking of cannabis, methamphetamine, narcotics, or controlled substances on the premises with tenant knowledge or consent.

• Permits expedited evictions for possession, use, sale, or delivery of firearms prohibited by state law, or for violent crimes including murder, arson, aggravated battery, and criminal sexual assault committed on the premises with tenant involvement.

• Eliminates the requirement for predicate notice of termination or demand for possession before initiating eviction actions under this Section.

• Establishes that if drugs are found anywhere on the premises, there is a rebuttable presumption the tenant used, possessed, or permitted the use of the substance with knowledge.
