Amends the Judicial Vacancies Act (705 ILCS 40/1.1) to make a technical change to the definitions section.

Removes redundant language by replacing double reference to "the term" with a single instance in the definition of "resident circuit judge" or "resident judge".

Maintains the definition scope covering circuit judges who were associate judges before July 1, 1971, or appointed after that date to fill vacancies in former associate judge positions.

Definition applies to judges whose offices were filled by election from a single county (or one of Cook County's two units) rather than from the circuit at large.
