Amends the Funeral Directors and Embalmers Licensing Code (225 ILCS 41/1-5) to make a technical change to Section 1-5 concerning legislative intent.

Changes the opening language of the legislative intent section by removing a duplicate word "The" at the beginning of the section.

Reaffirms that funeral directing and embalming practices are subject to state regulation in the public interest, affecting public health, safety, and welfare.

Declares it is in the public interest that deceased human bodies receive appropriate care with reverent treatment and respect for the bereaved.

Section is scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2013.
