Requires all officers, members, and employees of townships that have been subject to a legal settlement or judgment for wrongful discharge of an employee to complete ethics training.

Training must be sponsored or conducted by an association that represents townships, with the association setting standards, hours, and frequency of training.

New officers, members, or employees must complete initial ethics training within 30 days of starting their position or employment.

Training course must cover restrictions on activities, personnel policies, wrongful discharge, prohibited political activities, campaign contributions, contract restrictions, whistleblower retaliation, revolving door prohibitions, and ethics violations and penalties.

Each participant must provide written certification to the township confirming completion of the ethics training program by the required deadline.
