94 circuit judges shall be elected in Cook County and 3 circuit judges in each other circuit, except as otherwise provided in the Act.

In circuits other than Cook County with populations of 230,000 or more (or 270,000 or more), or containing a county with 200,000 or more inhabitants, 4 circuit judges shall be elected instead of 3.

In the 23rd judicial circuit, there shall be no at-large circuit judgeships and only resident circuit judges shall be elected as provided in Sections 2f-10 and 2f-11.

In circuits other than Cook County where each county has a population of 475,000 or more, an additional 4 circuit judges shall be elected beyond the standard number.

In any circuit composed of 2 counties with a total population of 350,000 or more, one additional circuit judge shall be elected.
