IL HB5066

Amends the School Code to establish June 1, 2012 as the deadline for all General Assembly scholarship nominations.

Prohibits any new nominations to General Assembly scholarships after June 1, 2012, and prevents awards of scholarships after that date unless the person was nominated prior to June 1, 2012.

Eliminates the ability to make second nominations for lapsed scholarships after June 1, 2012, and prevents nominating persons to unused or unexpired portions of vacated scholarships after that date.

Changes existing language to replace references to "expiration of a member's term" with the fixed deadline of June 1, 2012 for all nomination activities.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
