Allows individual teachers teaching in Illinois schools an income tax credit for eligible classroom expenses starting in tax year 2012.

Credit equals 50% of eligible classroom expenses, with a maximum credit of $500 per taxpayer per year.

Defines eligible classroom expenses as nonreimbursed classroom expenses minus a $250 threshold.

School must be a public or nonpublic elementary or secondary school in Illinois compliant with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Credit cannot be carried forward or back and cannot reduce tax liability below zero.
