HB5121 Summary

• Adds "attempt to commit terrorism" to the list of offenses for which prisoners receive restricted good conduct credit, effective with crimes committed on or after the bill's effective date.

• Prisoners convicted of attempt to commit terrorism receive no more than 4.5 days of good conduct credit per month of imprisonment.

• Amends Section 3-6-3 of the Unified Code of Corrections to align good conduct credit restrictions for attempted terrorism with those for other serious violent offenses.

• Takes effect January 1, 2013.
