Amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act by making a technical change to Section 8.1 concerning notification of criminal case dispositions.

Requires Circuit Clerks to notify the Department of State Police of all final dispositions of cases for which the Department received information under Section 2.1 of the Criminal Identification Act.

Mandates that upon adjudication of an individual as mentally defective, the court shall direct the circuit court clerk to immediately notify the Department of State Police and the Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) department.

Requires courts to forward a copy of the mental defective adjudication order to the Department of State Police.
