Amends Section 108B-9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 regarding electronic criminal surveillance.

Allows contents of intercepted private communications to be used by investigative officers and attorneys authorized to prosecute offenses enumerated in the Electronic Criminal Surveillance Article.

Permits law enforcement officers who obtained knowledge of intercepted communications through authorized eavesdropping devices to use evidence derived from those communications in performance of official duties.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
