Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to authorize the Secretary of State to issue temporary ambulance registration plates for government-operated ambulance services.

Temporary ambulance plates may only be used when a government entity has no other active ambulance vehicles available to provide ambulance service.

Temporary ambulance license registrations are valid for a maximum of 15 days and cannot be reused; services must request new plates from the Secretary of State after each use.

The Secretary of State is authorized to establish rules and regulations necessary to implement the temporary ambulance plate provisions.
