HB5367 Summary

• Amends the Wildlife Code to allow nonresident relatives (children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents, sisters, and brothers) of Illinois landowners with at least 40 acres to obtain turkey hunting permits at the resident permit fee rate instead of the nonresident rate of up to $125.

• Allows nonresident relatives of Illinois landowners with at least 40 acres to obtain deer hunting permits at the resident permit fee rate instead of higher nonresident rates, for hunting on the relative's land only.

• Applies the reduced fee structure to turkey permits (resident fee not to exceed $15) and deer permits (resident fee not to exceed $25).

• Permits are valid only for hunting on the landowner relative's property, not for hunting on other lands.

• Definitions of "bona fide equity shareholder," "bona fide equity member," and "bona fide equity partner" are incorporated by reference from Section 2.26 of the Wildlife Code.
