Amends Section 2 of the State Housing Act (310 ILCS 5/2) to make a technical correction to the Act's purpose statement.

Changes the wording in the declaration regarding congested and unsanitary housing conditions by removing a redundant use of the word "that."

Maintains the Act's core purpose of addressing poor housing conditions in low-income areas and authorizing state agencies to promote investment in affordable housing construction and rehabilitation.

Allows for low-interest loans, land acquisition, demolition of unsafe housing, and construction of new housing with affordable monthly rentals for wage-earners.
