Amendment to House Bill 5504 - County CD-Nursing Homes

• Requires proposed resolutions authorizing termination, transfer, lease, or other disposition of facilities to include a statement of the total debt owed on the facility

• Extends the county board's authority to levy authorized taxes for up to 10 years or until facility debt is fully repaid, whichever comes first

• Allows counties to continue levying authorized taxes for 10 years or until debt repayment, regardless of whether the county continues to operate sheltered care or nursing home facilities
