• Amends the Criminal Code of 1961 to add a new exemption allowing real estate brokers, real estate salespersons, and leasing agents to carry concealed firearms while performing their duties.

• Requires any licensed real estate professional claiming this exemption to complete at least 40 hours of approved training covering law enforcement theory, liability for acts, and weapons handling, supervised by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

• Requires licensed real estate professionals to carry a firearm control card issued by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation at all times when in possession of a concealed weapon.

• Renewal conditions for firearm control cards issued to real estate professionals follow the same procedures as those issued under the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004.
