Amends the Department of State Police Law to require the Department to conduct or approve a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) training program for State police officers

Training shall equip State police officers to identify symptoms of PTSD and respond appropriately to individuals exhibiting those symptoms

Amends the Illinois Police Training Act to require the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board to conduct or approve a PTSD training program for local government law enforcement officers

Local law enforcement training shall also focus on identifying PTSD symptoms and providing appropriate responses to affected individuals
