• Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act to add Section 1009 requiring elected officials to either pay delinquent income taxes or resign from office within 60 days of a final Department of Revenue decision.

• Defines "elected official" as executive branch constitutional officers (Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Comptroller, Treasurer) and legislative branch constitutional officers (General Assembly members and Auditor General).

• Requires payment of all delinquent amounts plus any penalties and interest as the alternative to resignation.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
