State Board of Education must establish a standard student expulsion policy that applies uniformly to all Illinois school districts.

School district pupil discipline policies must conform to the state-established standard expulsion policy.

School boards must furnish a copy of their pupil discipline policy to parents or guardians within 15 days of the school year beginning or within 15 days after a pupil transfers into the district.

Each school must inform its pupils of the contents of its discipline policy (makes this requirement mandatory for all school boards, not just Chicago).

School boards must include provisions addressing students at risk for aggressive behavior, including bullying, with notification procedures and early intervention options based on available community and district resources.
